March Favorites!!

MAKE UP

1) Buxom Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation
This is the only foundation thats brand name, that I actually enjoy wearing. Its kind of scary, but great at the same time! But now that it is starting to get VERY hot here in Austin, I have to switch to a tinted moisturizer. I feel like it is too soon! I have only been using this foundation for a couple weeks!

2) Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink
I adore this blush. When ever I am putting on my make up, I immediately reach for this blush. It gives me the perfect pinky glow for spring, and it does indeed stay on. For some reason, my face likes to eat my blush. It just soaks in in like an absorbent sponge, and I am not about that life. But this blush, defies all of that, and stays perfectly painted on my cheeks!

3) Maybelline Lash Stiletto
So I have rekindled my love for this mascara. I use to use it way back in high school, but recently, while in walgreens, I just decided to buy another tube and give it ago again! Of course, I instantly fell back in love with it! It gives me the perfect long lash without clumping look, and I adore it.

4) CoverGirl TRUMagic Skin Perfector
I have been using this as a primer, for when I do wear foundation, and it is fantabulous. It completely minimizes my pores, and it just gives me a very flawless look. Especially, on my nose, Its like the higher the point on my face, the larger the pores, and its horrible. But this skin perfecter has saved my life!

SKIN CARE

1) First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser
Holy bajeezus. This stuff is sent from the heavens to save us. I have been using it for a couple weeks, and I noticed an immediate change in my skin. Break outs have become non existent! I love it!

2) Kiehl's Rose Artica Eye
I have had the hardest time finding an eye cream that gets rid of dark circles, and I found it. Now, I will admit, that I have been a little stingy and sticking to drug store creams, but I have come across the Kiehl's brand in Nordstroms the other day, and I already notice a difference. My circles have cleared, and the discoloration has lightened. I recommend this to any one who is having a hard time getting grid of dark circles!

BOOK
I just started Perks of being a WallFlower. I refuse to watch the movie until I read the book. I instantly fell in love with it the very first chapter.

TV SHOW
Okay, I LOVE archer! This show is absolutely hilarious. It is very sexual and inappropriate, but it is so funny. I could watch every episode over and over again. Another show that I have been watching, or re-watching I should say, is How I Met Your Mother. I have seen every episode at least five times, but I will never get bored of it!

Whats In My Shower?!

So, I thought it would be pretty fun to show all of you guys whats in my shower! So with that, lets begin!
So lets start with my shower curtain! I got this from  Bed, Bath and Beyond. I have always wanted a shower curtain that was ruffled, because its super girly and I love anything ruffled.
The bath room caddy I have, I also got from Bed, Bath and Beyond. I pretty much jam pack this entire thing with stuff. On the top row, I have three products from Garnier. All three products are from there new line of cash washes, and I have the cleanser and exfoliator in pomegranate and grape fruit, and the last is an invigorating daily scrub in jojoba and peppermint. This stuff is like a sweet sweet drug to me. I look forward to showers because of this scrub. It makes my skin tingly and clean, and I love it. Also, on the top row, I have the Macadamia Natural Purifying Shampoo. I used this, maybe once a week? It helps get the harsh oils and smells of Barbecue out of my hair after a week long of work at the Salt Lick. Then I have an EOS Shaving cream that I rarely use. On the bottom row, I have a Biotin and collagen infused shampoo and conditioner, I use this when I feel like my hair isn't getting the volume I need. I already have pretty thing hair, but sometimes my roots just fall flat. And then I have a bunch of sample shampoo and conditioners, one from Garnier, Bosley, and Tresemme.
In this little wall cubby, I just use it for more storage for my shampoos and conditioners. I have been using Herbal Essences Smooth Collection in Rose religiously. Anything rose scented, I am all over it. Candles, perfumes, hair products. I love it. Then I have an Aveeno cleansing foam as well as the Summers Eve fresh body wash, for those not so great days. On the little bottom rows, I have my favorite LUSH product, The Ocean Salt Cleanser. This stuff smells and feels great. When it comes time to exfoliate, I immediately reach for this.

So yeah! That is what is in my shower! I have a nice collection of shampoo and conditioner going on, but I love to switch up my hair routine every now and then, so I can keep things light and fresh.

My Make Up Collection 2014

I have been wanting to do this forever! I love sharing my make up collection with people, so I have decided to go ahead and share with you guys my make up collection! There is a lot to share, so with thats, let get started.
So, right now I am using a desk as a vanity. The desk is from Ikea, I would tell you what is called, but I can't find it! On top, I have a vanity mirror from Ikea, and a couple make up holders, two which I got from Bed, Bath and Beyond, and the other two from my mom for Christmas!
These are the two that I got for Christmas. I have no idea where she got them from, but they are like any old drawer you could find somewhere on the internet! There are two separate compartments, each with three drawers making six drawers in total. In these drawers, from top to bottom, I have mascara, highlighters, blushes, brows, eyeshadows, and primers. On top, I just have a couple of my most used things that I will get into in just a second.
Alrighty, so on top, are just some of my most used items. I have a Crème De Rose lip balm from Dior, That I use ALL THE TIME. It makes my lips feel smooth, and perfectly moist. I have four lotions. Two cleans lotions in cotton, and skin. One from Bath and Body Works, in Energy Orange Ginger, and LUSH Body Lotion in Dream Cream. In the little cup, I have all my Clinique chubby sticks, Revlon Colorburst, and Cover Girl Lipperfection Jumbo Gloss Balm, and last, I have my L'oreal Hydra-Renewal cream!
Now this is my favorite drawer. My mascaras. I love mascara more than anything that I wear. I have pretty much any brand, CoverGirl, L'oreal, Revlon, Sephora, Benefit! Cosmetics, Too Faced, and Smash Box.
Now this is my highlighter drawer. In this drawer, I have Urban Decay, Milani, Benefit! Cosmetics, Kardashian Kollection, Dior, and Bare Minerals. My most used ones, are the Urban Decay Naked Illuminated and the Benefit! Cosmetics Watts Up. I use them on the apples of my cheeks, and the more glitter, the better.
This is my blush drawer. In this drawer, I have NYX, Milani, Tarte, Cover Girl, Too Faced, NARS, and Bare Minerals. The two I use most, are the NARS in Orgasm and Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink. This is another one of my favorite drawers.
Now, my brow drawer isn't very full, but there really isn't much to brows. I have a brow palette from Anastasia Brows, and one from Milani, as well as a brow pencil from Milani, and two brow gels from Anastasia Brows.
This drawer is pretty full. In this one, I hold all my loose and single eyeshadows. In the back I have a couple of quads, and I have one liquid eye shadow, which is pretty weird, but cool!
I have a million kinds of primers. Its sort of gotten out of hand. But the two I use most are Baby Skin by Cover Girl and Urban Decays Eye Primer. But I also have Laura Mercier, Smash box, Too Faced, e.l.f, and a sample of one from Clinique.
Now, these are my make up brushes. I mostly have Real Technique brushes, but recently I purchased some Laura Mercier camouflage brushes for my Concealer.
In this container, I have brushes I don't used, but refuse to throw out, bronzer, lipstick, lip gloss, and eye lash glue. I am not super into bronzer, but I have one from MAC, Pixi, NYX, and NARS. When I do use bronzer, I use Laguna by NARS, because it gives me a summer glow that I always love to have. In lip sticks, I tend to stick towards coral, and pink colors, which is mainly what I have, and I always stick towards the Cover Girl lip sticks because I like how they feel on my lips.
This one holds my Eye liner, foundation, face setting powder, sample perfumes, and colored lip gloss. The foundation I use the most is the Buxom foundation, and I used the Too Faced face setting powder to set everything. When I finish my make up, I use the Urban Decay face setting spray, and this stuff is amazing.
This is where I hold all my hair accessories, make up bags, nail polishes, palettes, and hair products. This is the Alex drawer unit from Ikea!
My palettes are my most prized possessions. From left to right, Urban Decay Naked 3, Too Faced Chocolate, Benefit! Cosmetics The Bronze of Champions, and Tropicoral, NARS Guy Bourdin Blush palette, March Jacobs Lolita Palette, Smash box Full Exposure, Urban Decay Anarchy Face Kit, and Too Faced Joy to the Girls. In the back of the drawer you can see two products from lush, in the bag is a a bath bomb, and in the box I believe are two bath bombs, a soap, and a shampoo bar.
Now this is the last drawer in the unit, and it holds all my nail polishes. Sinful Colors, Essie, Revlon, Cover Girl, Marc Jacobs, Sally Hanson, Opi, the amount of nail polish I have is ridiculous, but I love it!
Last, we have my perfume collections. Its not big, but it gets me through. In the back I have three from Victorias Secret in Aqua Kiss, Vanilla Lace, and Sheer Love. The second row, Ralph Lauren in 2, Victorias Secret in Fresh and Clean, and Axe for woman. In the first row, I have Dior, Marc Jacobs Honey, and Charming Charlies in Lace. Lace, would probably be my signature scent. I wear it for anything and everything and I adore how it smells.

So that is my make up collection! I know, it was unbelievably long. But I have been waiting to show you guys it for a pretty long time now!

Day 29 - Favorite Drink

So recently, I have been inhaling the Iced Chai Tea Latte from Starbucks, like nobodies business. Every chance I get, I am there. It doesn't really help that it is right by my house, because I go before work, after work, when I am bored, just when ever I get a chance really. They know me by name. Seriously, the know me, by name. That has to tell you something!

Avocado Face Mask

Avocado can do absolute wonders for your skin. I am sadly allergic to avocado, but that doesn't stop me from putting it on my face! Avocado helps clean the skin, and reduce wrinkles. Like I said in my other post, anything that reduces wrinkles, I am all for. Avocados are filled with vitamin A and the glutamine amino acid cleanses the skin, getting rid of dead skin cells. The antioxidants detoxify all the toxins that can lead your skin to age prematurely.

What you will need for this face mask are:
1 ripe avocado
2 tbsp honey
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1 tsp lemon

Now this will make about 4-5 masks. Shelf life is one week, if kept in a well contained with a secure lid. Mix all the ingredients together, and blend.

To apply:
Just apply a thick paste to your face, and wash off with warm water.

This mask seriously does wonders for your skin, and when I make this mask I use it every day!
