Bobbi Brown Haul

This was my first time buying anything from Bobbi Brown! I have heard so many great things about this brand of make up, but I always tended to steer clear of that isles at Sephora because its just all so expensive! But alas, I gave in, and I am so happy that I did. I invested in a gel eye liner and liner brush, and a concealer kit. Its really hard for me to find concealer that actually stays on through the day, and this one is the perfect one.

I use the color Ivory, that way it corrects and brightens. The second item I got was the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner. I have never used Gel Liner before, so I decided that I might as well go big with my first time! So far, I have no complaints. It glides on very smoothly, and it very intense which I love!

I got the color in black ink, and I am totally obsessed with it! I cannot wait to go back and buy more Bobbi Brown products! This brand is seriously amazing!

Weird Questions Tag

So I thought it would fun to do a weird questions tag, just so you guys can get to know the VERY weird side of me!

#1. What's a nickname only your family calls you?
Stinky. Apparantly, as a baby, I always had a poopy diaper. So ever sense, they have called me that!
#2. What's a weird habit of yours?
Well, I bite my nails. I can't really think of any that are weirder than that!
#3. Do you have any weird phobias?
My biggest phobia, would be if I were to fall in the shower and get knocked out, and having my parents see me naked.
#4. What's a song you secretly love to blast and belt out when you're alone?
Story of My life by One Direction. When ever I am alone, I blare this song and sing at the top of my lungs!
#5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
My  biggest pet peeve, would probably be people who don't really listen to authority. I have a huge issue with a lot of people I work with because they just don't listen, and when they don't listen everything just falls to pieces.
#6. What's one of your nervous habits?
Whenever I get nervous, I tend to bite my nails. And when I do bite my nails, I bite them until they bleed. I know gross, but its an awful habit. I hate because I love painting my nails and doing fun designs but I can only do so much with short nails. 
#7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
I sleep in the middle of the bed, but when I do share, I sleep on the left side. 
#8. What was your first stuffed animal and it's name?
My first stuffed animal was Baby Bop from Barney. I took her everywhere with me. 
#9. What's the drink you always order at starbucks?
I go to Starbucks about every day almost. Every time I go, I order the Iced Chai Tea Latte. This stuff is like drugs for me. It is the most delicious thing that I have ever had. 
#10. What's a beauty rule you preach, but never actually practice?
Trim your hair every six weeks. I hate getting my hair cut. I always get so bored just sitting there, so I try to space how getting a hair cut so I don't have to endure being bored!
#11. Which way do you face in the shower?
I face with my back towards the water. 
#12. Do you have any 'weird' body 'skills'?
hmmm, not that I know of!
#13. What's your favorite comfort food thats 'bad' but you love to eat it anyways?
Fruit roll ups. I can seriously eat the entire box in one sitting. 
#14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?
Swerve. I know, I am an idiot. 
#15. Time to sleep, what are you actually wearing?
No top, and shorts!

Whats In My Shower?!

So, I thought it would be pretty fun to show all of you guys whats in my shower! So with that, lets begin!

So lets start with my shower curtain! I got this from  Bed, Bath and Beyond. I have always wanted a shower curtain that was ruffled, because its super girly and I love anything ruffled. 

The bath room caddy I have, I also got from Bed, Bath and Beyond. I pretty much jam pack this entire thing with stuff. On the top row, I have three products from Garnier. All three products are from there new line of cash washes, and I have the cleanser and exfoliator in pomegranate and grape fruit, and the last is an invigorating daily scrub in jojoba and peppermint. This stuff is like a sweet sweet drug to me. I look forward to showers because of this scrub. It makes my skin tingly and clean, and I love it. Also, on the top row, I have the Macadamia Natural Purifying Shampoo. I used this, maybe once a week? It helps get the harsh oils and smells of Barbecue out of my hair after a week long of work at the Salt Lick. Then I have an EOS Shaving cream that I rarely use. On the bottom row, I have a Biotin and collagen infused shampoo and conditioner, I use this when I feel like my hair isn't getting the volume I need. I already have pretty thing hair, but sometimes my roots just fall flat. And then I have a bunch of sample shampoo and conditioners, one from Garnier, Bosley, and Tresemme. 

In this little wall cubby, I just use it for more storage for my shampoos and conditioners. I have been using Herbal Essences Smooth Collection in Rose religiously. Anything rose scented, I am all over it. Candles, perfumes, hair products. I love it. Then I have an Aveeno cleansing foam as well as the Summers Eve fresh body wash, for those not so great days. On the little bottom rows, I have my favorite LUSH product, The Ocean Salt Cleanser. This stuff smells and feels great. When it comes time to exfoliate, I immediately reach for this. 

So yeah! That is what is in my shower! I have a nice collection of shampoo and conditioner going on, but I love to switch up my hair routine every now and then, so I can keep things light and fresh. 

Avocado Face Mask

Avocado can do absolute wonders for your skin. I am sadly allergic to avocado, but that doesn't stop me from putting it on my face! Avocado helps clean the skin, and reduce wrinkles. Like I said in my other post, anything that reduces wrinkles, I am all for. Avocados are filled with vitamin A and the glutamine amino acid cleanses the skin, getting rid of dead skin cells. The antioxidants detoxify all the toxins that can lead your skin to age prematurely.

What you will need for this face mask are:
1 ripe avocado
2 tbsp honey
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1 tsp lemon

Now this will make about 4-5 masks. Shelf life is one week, if kept in a well contained with a secure lid. Mix all the ingredients together, and blend.

To apply:
Just apply a thick paste to your face, and wash off with warm water.

This mask seriously does wonders for your skin, and when I make this mask I use it every day!

My favorite nail polish has to be the new Marc Jacobs nail polish line. My two favorite colors are Gatsby, and Daisy. Yes, part of it is because of the names, but Gatsby is a beautiful rose gold color, and Daisy is more of an off white pearl color. They are fantastic nail polishes, they last very long, and they look great even with one coat on!

These shoes are fantastic. Expensive, but fantastic.

They are well worth their price. They are the most comfiest shoes IN THE WORLD. They come in a million different colors, and they are designed in the finest Italian leathers. Like Stilettos and their signature red soles, Tieks have their signature rubber, blue soles! They are perfect for a night out on the town when you just don't want to wear your heels anymore, they fit perfectly in your purse, that way you do not have to carry them around with you! They are truly great.

Luvocracy

Day 22 - What Makes You Happy?

Hmm, thats kind of hard to answer. A lot of little things make me happy! I mean, of course, shopping, make up, chai tea latte, the little things like that. But my friends, and family are one of the biggest things that make me happy. I love my family with all my heart, and my friends are just the cherry on top. I spend literally all my time with my two best friends Melissa and Ashley, and I honestly do not know where I would be without them.

Sephora and Victorias Secret haul!!

So yes. I blew a good chunk of money today!! I went with a couple of friends to our mall for some much needed therapeutic shopping. First we went to Victorias secret, and there I bought 3 new fragrances. I bought, Vanilla Lace, which is a vanilla and musk scent. Then, I bought Sheer Love which is a white cotton and pink lily scent, and last I bought Aqua Kiss which is a rain-kissed freesia and daisy scent. The last one I had to buy, because daisies are my all time favorite flower, so of course, anything that smells like daisies I am all for it!

Last, we headed into Sephora. Now, it is very easy for me to lose myself in that store and just go crazy, but I like to think that today I took things very well! I only bought two things! I bought Boxum Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation and Urban Decay  make up setting spray! Now, I have told you ladies before that I do not like foundation, due to the fact that I don't like how it feels on my face! It can be too heavy or look flakey. So I originally went in looking for a tinted moisturizer. I had one of the make up artists and had her help me identify my color, and a good moisturizer. She ended up recommending the Boxum foundation, and after applying it to my face, I fell in love. It was perfectly light, and smooth on my face. So you bet your sweet toques that I bought it! With the make up setting spray, I was just re-buying it because I ran out of my previous one. Its literally the most amazing product ever.

 

Hits and misses on the Red Carpet

Alright ladies, it was that fantastic time of year again. Of course, I'm talking about the Oscars!! One of the things I adore doing every year, is reviewing the Red Carpet fashion. All the hits and misses, its such a great past time!

1) Lupita Nyong'o

Man, did she hit it out of the park! She wore a custom Prada dress, with a gold and diamond Fred Leighton hand band. I am obsessed with this dress. The way it flows as she walks and how it shapes her body is something every girl needs in there life. I have always been a fan of the dress that makes you look like you are floating on thin air, and this dress is exactly that!

2) Jennifer Lawrence

Not only is she my all time favorite actress, but her fashion on the red carpet the last couple years have always been a favorite for me. This year at the Oscars she's wore a peplum gown by Dior. The contrast of orange to her skin tone is absolutely flawless, and its nice to see her in something that isn't a ball gown and more form fitting! 

3) Emma Watson

Every time I think of Emma Watson, all I can think about is Harry Potter. So when I see her in the real world, I am constantly shocked at how sexy she is. This year she wore a beautiful black gown from Vera Wang. 

4) Elsa Pataky

Can we talk about how beautiful and radiant she looks pregnant?! Man, is she rocking that Elie Saab gown on the red carpet!

5) Lady Gaga

Holy yes. I was shocked to see that Lady Gaga showed up in something completely normal! She wore a pink and metallic gown by Versace, and she made that dress look absolutely stunning. The way it hugs her curves just suits her perfectly. 

6) Liza Minnelli 

Alright guys, its time to talk about the misses. And Liza is sadly one of them. Nothing about her outfit is flattering. As much as I hate to say it, this was one of the worst outfits on the Red Carpet. 

7) Sally Hawkins

Sally Hawkins dress was very overwhelming. She is young, and beautiful and could of taken every advantage of showing it off. Instead she chose to cover everything up, and have way too much going on.

Organizing my Closet

So I have been looking up neat ways to organize my closet before putting it all into action. Now, in my closet, I have a bunch of sections for winter clothes, summer clothes, and dresses. Somehow, I still need  to organize each of those sections!

1) Now I love the idea about different colored hangers for each season. It will make my closet colorful and fun, and what more of a perfect way to organize than colors?!

2) So I have been working on getting my wardrobe bigger and better, I have a million hangers hanging up and it just looks crowded and weird. So I desperately need one of these:

3) Now, every time a buy a new pair of heels, I keep them in their boxes for safe keeping. But I have so many, that I keep forgetting what shoe is what box! So I really need to invest in some clear show boxes! Plus, I love being able to see my shoes when I open my closet. 

4) Now I need a purse organizer. I have purses lying ALL OVER my closet and room! So this is a definite yes when it comes to organizing my closet.

February Favorites

Make up
1) Dior Crème De Rose
This is the most moisturizing and plumping lip balm that I have ever used! This stuff, will be your new best friend. I always make sure to include this in my every day make up routine. Its fantabulous in every way.

2) Milani Brow Fix Brow Kit
So recently, I dyed my hair blonde. So my eye brow routine was making them look like they were drawn on with sharpie! So I need to find something cheap, and quick because there is no way that I am going out in public with out my power brows! Well, just the other day I was in HEB (Texas grocery store) and was in the make up aisle when I stubbled upon the Milani section. I immediately saw the brow kit and LITERALLY squealed that I found it! Its the perfect shade for my brows and it isn't to thick.

3) Urban Decay NAKED Illuminated
If you know me, then you know that I need glitter in my life. This illuminizer fits my needs perfectly. It is the perfect amount of glitter, and I put it directly on the apples of cheeks. It definitely makes me feel all fancy and dressed up with out looking TOO dressed up.

Hair
1) Moroccan Surf Paste
So since I have cut my hair short, I have found it impossible to style it. My hair is ridiculously difficult and hard to manage, and I have yet to find a product that will let me actually do something with it. Low and behold, Surf Paste. I just slap some of this in my hair, and scrunch my hair and twist it, and it comes out perfectly wavy and bouncy!

None Beauty
1) Chai Tea Latte
OH MAN, this stuff is delicious. I have been going crazy, buying everything chai, and going to Starbucks constantly. It has been burning a hole in my wallet, but man am I happy!

2) Hart of Dixie
I have been watching this on Netflix non stop! Its the perfect amount of witty, and funny, and drama that every girl needs in their life!

3) Pier 1
Can I just say, this store has everything you need for your house decor and furnishing needs. I have been going here constantly in the last month, just looking or buying things for my apartment! If I could, I would furnish my entire house, just using Pier 1!
